Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Quotefloor. Quotefloor is operated by QuoteFloor LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, of Fourth Floor, St James House, St James's Row, Burnley BB11 1DR. The company is owned and run by Connor Myles and Tom Henderson. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What Quotefloor does

Quotefloor is software for quoting flooring jobs. You enter your own prices, your own rates and your own measurements, and it works out figures, produces a quotation, plans how the material comes off the roll, and keeps track of the job through to payment.

The figures are yours, not ours

This is the most important thing on this page, so please read it properly.

Quotefloor calculates from the numbers you give it. It does not measure your rooms, it does not know what your supplier charges, and it cannot see the job. Roll widths, pack sizes, waste allowances, cutting plans and every rate in your price book are yours to set and yours to check.

You are responsible for checking every quotation, cutting plan and invoice before you rely on it. We are not liable for a job that is underpriced, over-ordered, short-measured, or for material bought on the strength of a figure this software produced. If a quote looks wrong, it is wrong — check it before you send it.

Invoices and your records

Quotefloor numbers your invoices in sequence and keeps a copy of each one as it was issued. It is a tool for producing them, not an accountant: you remain responsible for your own VAT treatment, your bookkeeping and anything you file. Check an invoice before you send it, and keep your own records.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and using Quotefloor for a business.
• One account is for one business. Keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by the people you add to your shop.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

Subscription and payment

• Quotefloor costs £49.99 per month, including VAT.
• That covers your whole team on one shop.
• The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Payments are taken by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• If a payment fails we will keep your access on for a short period while Stripe retries, then suspend it.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your profile, which opens Stripe's billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-months, but if something has genuinely gone wrong, email hello@quotefloor.co.uk and we will sort it out sensibly.

Cancelling does not delete your data. Your quotes stay where they are, and if you resubscribe later everything is as you left it. If you want your account deleted outright, ask and we will do it within 30 days.

Fair use

Please do not:

• share one account across separate businesses
• resell or rebrand Quotefloor as your own product
• try to break, scrape or overload the service
• upload anything unlawful, or data you have no right to hold

We may suspend an account that does any of these.

Your data

Your price book, your quotes and your invoices belong to you. We claim no ownership over them and we do not use them for anything except running the service for you. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

Where you enter your own customers' details, you are the data controller and we act as your processor. We will only process that data on your instructions and will help you respond to any request from one of your customers.

Availability

We aim to keep Quotefloor available and working, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, supplier outages and faults happen, and parts of the service depend on suppliers we do not control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we recommend you are not wholly dependent on it for a quote you must produce that minute.

Liability

Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Aside from that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost jobs, or the cost of materials ordered on the basis of a figure produced by the software.

Changes

We may change these terms or the price. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price rise, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

We may change or remove features as the product develops. We will not remove something central without telling you.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by cancelling. We may end your access if you break these terms, do not pay, or use the service in a way that harms it or other subscribers. If we close your account without good reason, we will refund the unused part of your month.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
